SCW PRESENTS SUPPORT LeCaShe (pronounced Le-Ca-shay)
In 2017 challenge yourself, your family, your friends to supported their local economy, craftspeople, artists, and second-hand economy. LeCaShe, is the acronym that puts this all together: Local economy, Craftspeople, artists and Second-hand economy.
Wherever you live, that’s where you begin. Start by donating clothes and household items to your local charity store or selling or trading them on shared economy sites.
Need or want somethings? Shop in your neighbourhood, buy directly from craftspeople and artists or check online classifieds, trading or freecycle sites or second-hand stores or flea markets.
Buy better, not more is the objective behind Support LeCaShe Challenge. Rethinking the way you spend your dollars can strengthen your community, reduce your carbon footprint, build connections with craftspeople and artists, make for better buying experiences and even save you money.
Throughout 2017, share some of your LeCaShe stories here and use the hashtag #LeCaShe, #SupportLeCaShe and #LeCasheChallenge2017 in social media.
But most of all, have fun, be creative and feel good about the better way in which you spend your money.
